The Jayhawk Baseball team dropped two games at Cornerstone University, 6-5 and 13-1 (5 innings).

In the opener MCC outhit Cornerstone 8-2 but Cornerstone took advantage of some Jayhawk miscues and walks for the come from behind win. Trevor Garrett (Clarkston) got the start and was solid on the mound through 4 innings allowing 3 runs on 1 hit with 3 strikeouts. Tanner Tresemer (Zeeland East) was 2-4 with a triple and a double and Brett Hunter (Kelloggsville) was also 2-4 with a double. Mason Brunworth (Mona Shores) had 2 RBI.

In game 2 the Jayhawks were limited to 3 hits; Gabe Schooltz (Comstock Park) and Mehdi Ladjel (St. Joseph) both recorded a double and Dayton Thomas (Ravenna) added a single. Hunter Carrington (Buchanan) started on the mound for the Jayhawks, allowing 5 runs on 4 hits in 2 innings of work.

The Jayhawks are 2-10 in conference play and 3-21 overall. They will host Delta College on Friday, 4/19 with a doubleheader that starts at 2:00 pm.
