4,877 student athletes, coaches and spectators descended upon the University Park Golf Course to compete and watch multiple High school and college races.

Kyler Dean (Vicksburg) led the way for the men’s team finishing 22nd overall. Freshman Will Ripple (North Muskegon) finished with a new pr of 30:18 for the home 8k course. There were 160 student athletes in the men’s race.

The women’s team was led by Freshman Kierra Flegel (Kent City) who overcame injury in the 2nd mile to finish with a time of 21:51. Sophomore Sierra Vanderwier (Fruitport) finished just off her lifetime pr with a 22:13.

The Jayhawks will be back in action on Saturday, 10/28 for the MCCAA/NJCAA Region XII Championships hosted by Grand Rapids Community College.
