The Jayhawk Men’s Basketball team lost a close game to Kalamazoo Valley Community College on the road 79-72.
MCC continues to play without the services of two starters with a third starter getting limited minutes. They had to battle a tough KVCC crowd in a hostile environment and they were able to play to a 38-38 tie at half time. MCC kept the game close in the 2nd half but KVCC was able to wear down the undermanned Jayhawks for the final margin of victory. Freshman William Chye (Mason County Central) was the top scorer for MCC with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals. Kaden George (Spring Lake) finished with 14 points and 5 assists and Tate Stine (Montague) added 13 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
The Jayhawks are 2-3 so far this season. They host Southwestern Michigan College on Saturday, 12/2 with tip off at 3:00 pm.
