The Men’s Soccer team wrapped up their regular season with a 2-1 victory over Cuyahoga Community College on the road.
MCC scored first as Khaled Souzo (Insituto Federal de Sao Paulo, Brazil) scored the opening goal in the 27th minute off a cross from Rukundo Emmanuel (Innovation Central). Emmanuel then picked up a goal when he scored directly from a freekick to put the Jayhawks up 2-0. Cuyahoga’s lone goal came off a PK to make the game 2-1 as the game was winding down, but the Jayhawks hung on for the win.
MCC finishes the regular season with an overall record of 9-4-1. They clinched the #2 seed for the NJCAA Regional Tournament that starts on Saturday, 10/28 at St. Clair County Community College.
