Women’s Basketball at Schoolcraft College

The Jayhawks move to 4-1 on the season with a victory over the Schoolcraft College Ocelots by a score of 84-58.

MCC finished with 5 players in double figures. Leading the team was Delaney Bolles (Reeths-Puffer HS) with a double double, 16 points and 15 rebounds. Tierra Williams (Muskegon HS) finished with 14 points and 5 steals, Artrese Williams (Reeths-Puffer HS) had 10 points and 7 assists, Elysia Mattos (Reeths-Puffer HS) added 10 points and 5 assists and Sam Taylor (Cedar Springs HS) had 10 points. Iyana Brown (Fruitport HS) also played well with 9 points, 7 blocks and 4 steals.

“As with any game, we saw some really good moments where things were running very smoothly and we also some things we really need to focus on next week and get better at-defensively and rebounding wise,” said head coach Amanda Parker. “This is a really special group with a lot of talent and anyone could step-up on any given night. It is always nice to get everyone involved, especially a tough road game.”

MCC returns to action with another road game on Tuesday, 11/21 at Mott Community College. Game time is 5:30 pm.
