The Jayhawk Men’s Basketball team lost on the road to Delta College, 90-73. MCC turned the ball over early which led to an early lead for the home team; the Jayhawks found themselves down by 8 early. They were able to rally to take the lead with about 3 minutes left but Delta took a 37-35 advantance into the locker room at the half. The Jayhawk Men’s Basketball team dropped a hard fought game to Alpena Community College at home, 73-69. MCC jumped out to a 14-3 lead in the first half but they were not able to build on the lead. The Jayhawk Men’s Basketball team played a great first half on their home floor and defeated rival Grand Rapids Community College 87-74. MCC started the game strong and they were able to score 15 second chance points by utilizing offensive rebounds. They stretched the lead to 30 points late in the 1st half and took a 54-28 lead into the locker room. The MCC Men’s Basketball team gave the conference leading Bay College Norse a scare in Escanaba, but ended up dropping a hard fought game by a final of 84-77. The Jayhawks were hot from the 3 point line, shooting 50% for the game and they held a 39-34 lead at half time. The Jayhawk Men’s Basketball team lost to Mid Michigan College 98-70 on the road. Muskegon started the game slow and they were unable to finish some baskets around the rim. The Jayhawk Men’s Basketball team defeated Kirtland Community College on Sophomore night 110-56. MCC honored six sophomores; Jadakiss Lewis (Kalamazoo Central), Tate Stine (Montague), Jacob May (Ravenna), Kaden George (Spring Lake), Ben Clark (Potter’s House), and Jacob Mueller (Charlevoix).
