Indoor Track & Field-Mike Lints Open-GVSU
The Jayhawk Track teams competed at GVSU in the Mike Lints Open. The Men’s team saw multiple athletes with great results led by sophomore Kyler Dean (Vicksburg) who ran an easy 4:17 mile, good for 11th in the nation, a new school record and qualifying him for the NJCAA National meet. Indoor Track & Field-Steemer Classic-Wittenberg University
The Jayhawk Track & Field teams competed as the only Juco team at the Steemer Classic at Wittenberg University in Ohio. The other 35 teams were NCAA Division I, Division 2, Division 3 and NAIA schools. MCC broke 7 school records and had 24 personal bests throughout the competition. Indoor Track & Field-Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Classic-Aquinas College
The Jayhawk Track & Field Teams competed at Aquinas College in the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Classic. Kyler Dean (Vicksburg) continued to shine as he finished 1st in the 1000m run, breaking his school record in the 1000m and hitting the national auto qualifying mark. The Jayhawk Track and Field had a great day at Grand Valley State University on Saturday, 2/10. MCC finished with 33 collegiate prs, 3 school records, 2 top 20 nationals marks and a top 10 national mark. Indoor Track & Field-NJCAA National Championship
The Jayhawk Men’s Track & Field Team sent a contingent of 5 athletes to Gainesville, FL to compete at the NJCAA National Championship. Bryce Turner (Stow-Munroe, OH) ran a season best PR of 48.7 in the 400m which also broke the school record. Turner was seeded 27th and finished 15th which was good enough for 2nd Team All-American Honors. Outdoor Track & Field-Oakland University
The Jayhawk Track & Field teams opened up their outdoor season at the Oakland Invite.There were 16 teams in attendance ranging from D1-Juco. The Jayhawks opened with 4 school records and 1 national qualifier. This is the 6th straight season spanning back to fall of 2022 with at least 1 national qualifier per season. Outdoor Track & Field-Western Michigan University
The Jayhawk Track & Field teams headed to Western Michigan University to compete. On Friday the throwers competed and on Saturday the whole team made the trip. On Friday sisters Gaby and Maya Reeve (White Cloud) battled 40 mph wind gusts while throwing the discus. Both Gaby and Maya had success with the 14th and 15th best marks in the nation.
