ABC-CLIO Ebooks contains ​ebooks pertaining to the humanities and social sciences.
ABC-CLIO Social Sciences Databases includes materials from the social sciences including American History, Social Issues, World Geography, and World History: Ancient & Medieval eras.

Academic Search Complete is a multi-disciplinary database with more than 8,500 full-text periodicals, including more than 7,300 peer-reviewed journals.

America’s News – (formerly Newsbank) is a good source for local, state and national information.  Contains several regional newspapers including The Muskegon Chronicle, the White Lake Beacon, the Grand Rapids Press, and Detroit News as well as many major newspapers including The New York Times and The Washington Post.

ARTstor  – database comprised of “a digital library of nearly one million images in the areas of art, architecture, the humanities, and social sciences with a set of tools to view, present, and manage images for research and pedagogical purposes.”
Biography Reference Center –  Contains biographies from sources including Biography Today and Biography
Business Book Summaries – Summaries of business books. Using stringent criteria, only the 1% of the more than 6,000 business books published each year in the United States is selected for inclusion in the database. Summaries and reviews are provided for more than 700 of the top business books from the last 20 years.
CINAHL Complete – CINAHL provides indexing for journals from the fields of nursing and allied health; the full text of over 1,300 journals are available
CQ Researcher which reports on controversial topics. Each report covers the history, current situation and contains bibliography of additional sources.
CRC Handbook of Chemistry & Physics – Contains all chemical compounds and their associated physical properties from over 700 document tables in the CRC print Handbook collated into a single searchable database. Search for a compound by name, formula, property or structure, view all available physical properties, its structure etc. in a chemical entry and export the data.
Demographics Now – Business and residential tool providing access to demographic data. Includes city and neighborhood statistics.
Ebook Central – over 85,000 ebooks covering all academic subjects and are from scholarly and university publishers and have current research, literature, and classics.  Users may download ebooks onto multiple devices.
Ebsco Ebooks – (formerly netLibrary) electronic book database of approximately 21,000 full text books.

HarpWeek database of Harper’s Weekly magazine from 1857 – 1889.  A good source for information pertaining to the Civil War and other historic events.
Humanities Ebooks – Contains over 4,000 full text, scholarly history books dealing with ancient through 20th century time periods. Coverage of the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa
JSTOR – Scholarly journal storage archive. Use for history, anthropology, sociology, literature, mathematics and other topics in the arts and science. There is also a biology subsection. Coverage is from journals’ date of inception (some beginning in the 1800s) up to the current prior three to five year. Recent journals are not available, through June 30, 2020, scholarly ebooks are also available.
New York Times – Register for free student or staff account for access to the New York Times current and archival editions. Archive is from 1855-present.
New Yorker – Full New Yorker archive from 1925 – present.
NexisUni (formerly Lexis Nexis) – journals, magazines, newspapers and documents pertaining to business, legal and medical topics and current news. The legal portion contains case law, codes and regulations, and patent information.
O’Reilly for Higher Education Over 35,000 book titles and over 30,000 hours of video. Includes “proven learning paths, case studies, interactive tutorials, audio books, and videos from O’Reilly’s global conference.” Includes publications from O’Reilly and 250 other publishers, topics covered include business, mathematics, nursing and technology.
Opposing Viewpoints in Context – viewpoint articles, topic overviews, full-text magazine, academic journal, and newspaper articles, primary source documents, statistics, images and podcasts, and links to Websites.  An InfoTrac database.
Oxford African American Studies Center – articles and reference books covering all aspects of African American history.
Oxford American National Biography – biographical information on more than 18,000 people from all time periods who have influenced and shaped American history and culture.
Oxford Dictionary of National Biography – 56,000 biographies of “people who shaped the history of the British Isles and beyond”.
Oxford English Dictionary – authority on the history and development of the English language since 1150. The online version is frequently updated to include new accepted words and their definitions.
Oxford Medicine Online – over 800 authoritative titles, over 40,000 images, diagrams and charts, as well as over 750 videos. Contains nursing handbooks.

Something About the Author Online – all volumes ever printed in this series which examines the lives and works of authors and illustrators for children and young adults, includes both the main series and Something About the Author Autobiography Series, totaling more than 217 volumes, 12,000 entries, and nearly 17,000 images.   A GaleNet database.
