Experience Arts and Humanities at 2016 Open House April 13

The public will have the opportunity to experience and enjoy the MCC Arts and Humanities Department offerings during an Open House on Wednesday, April 13, from 4-9 p.m.

Visitors can listen to musical performances, enjoy dance and theatrical productions, view art, and hear a lecture on a philosophical topic. The activities, which are free and open to the public, take place in the Overbrook Theater, Overbook Gallery or the lobby. Representatives from The Bay Window and MCC Radio will be on hand to discuss MCC’s student communications.

The schedule of activities includes:

  • 4-4:30 p.m. – MCC Instructor Dr. Conor Roddy will present a lecture titled “Six or Seven Reasons Not to Take the Bible Too Seriously”
  • 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. – Humanities Student Showcase
  • 5:30-6 p.m. – Music Interlude
  • 6-7 p.m. – Studio on Stage featuring theater and dance students
  • 7- 8 p.m. – Art and Philosophy student posters on display
  • 8-9 p.m. – Wind and Jazz Ensemble Concert
