Foundation for Muskegon Community College Seeks Members

Individuals passionate about increasing access to higher education, creating opportunities for student success and advocating for higher education are strongly encouraged to volunteer their services on the Foundation for Muskegon Community College Board of Directors.

MCC is seeking to fill vacancies on its 21-member board.  A separate non-profit organization, the Foundation advances the MCC mission through donor stewardship and fundraising.

“The College remains a vibrant educational, cultural and economic cornerstone in the Muskegon area,” explained MCC President Dr. Dale K. Nesbary. “We are looking for individuals who share our commitment to helping our students achieve their goals and our responsiveness to the ever-changing needs of our community. MCC is a dynamic place, deeply rooted in a proud past, fully engaged in the present and guided by a distinct vision for its future.”

New Foundation Board members will be on the ground floor of a major physical transformation on campus.

“You’ll become part of something wonderful, positive, and perpetually rewarding,” added Tina Dee, the MCC Director of Community Relations/Foundation Director.  “Now is a great time to join the Foundation Board. The College is poised to begin implementation of a facility master plan.  New facilities are needed for three areas: science, health/physical education, and creative and performing arts.”
