The Muskegon Community College Wind and Jazz Ensembles will perform on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m. in the Overbrook Theater. The concert is free and open to the public.
The Wind Ensemble, led by Daniel M. Meyers, the MCC director of music, will perform four selections: “Where Never Lark or Eagle Flew” by James Curnow, “Amazing Grace” and “Joy Revisited,” both arranged by Frank Ticheli, and “Nabucco” by Giuseppe Verde.
Following a brief intermission, the MCC Jazz Ensemble, directed by MCC adjunct instructor Tim Froncek, will present four numbers: “Back at the Chicken Shack” by Jimmy Smith, “Side Door Shuffle” by Bryan Kidd, “Antiqua” by Ralph Gingery, and “Pardon My Blues” by Jeff Taylor.
