Coaches Profiles

HEAD COACH - ED BAILEY
 
Coach Bailey is in his third year of his second tenure coaching the Jayhawk Volleyball Team.  Bailey was the head coach of the Jayhawks from 1989-994.  Coach Bailey also has 19 years of high school volleyball coaching experience, most notably with Holton High School which culminated in a 1993 Class C State Runner-up and a 1994 Class C State Championship.  Coach Bailey graduated with a B.A. in History and Psychology from Western Michigan University and a M.A. in Educational Leadership from WMU.  He is currently employed by Reeths-Puffer Schools as an elementary curriculum specialist. .
 
 
 
 

 ASSISTANT COACH - HOLLY HAZEKAMP 

Holly Hazekamp is beginning her first season as assistant coach for the Jayhawk volleyball program.  A graduate of Fruitport High School, Holly was a three-year starting setter for the Trojan volleyball team.  She led her volleyball team to two consecutive State Runner-Up finishes and was a three-time All-State selection.

Hazekamp attended Muskegon Community College to pursue her degree as well as compete for the volleyball team.  While at Muskegon Community College, the team qualified for the NJCAA National Tournament and Holly was named the Muskegon Community College "Scholar-Athlete of the Year".  From Muskegon Community College, Holly transferred to Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids where she earned her bachelor's degree in English/Elementary Education and served as the captain of her volleyball team, receiving All-American honors athletically and academically.  During her career as a Golden Eagle, her team earned an automatic bid to the NAIA national tournament. 

Holly and her husband, Dan, were recently married this summer (2007) and reside in Muskegon.
