How to Find a Student Employee Job
Congratulations, you have been awarded work-study for MCC’s 2012-13 academic year. An award of work-study does not guarantee a job to earn the award. Students are encouraged to go to the departments on campus and seek out employment themselves. Keep in mind that you must maintain a 2.0 GPA and be enrolled in NO less than 6 credits per semester.

Look at the list provided below and pick out a couple of departments that you are interested in working. The open jobs are blue. All others are closed.
To make sure that you have work study money, please stop by Financial Aid office in room 106. This needs to be completed prior to looking for any position listed below. If you did not receive work study money, you can stop by room 106 and see if you are eligible for the funds.

Position Description: We have a summer position starting May 6, for up to 20 hours per week, through Friday, August 2. Must be able to work Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons.
Excellent customer service and telephone skills required. You will mainly be covering the front desk, answering phones, taking messages, accepting deliveries, greeting guests. In addition, you will be assisting the administrative assistant to the VP for Academic Affairs & Finance, with tasks, such as posting classroom changes, posting course syllabi, etc. Because we strive to offer you a valuable work experience, individual projects can range from very simple to complex, depending on your skills and your desire to learn.
You absolutely MUST be dependable and be comfortable working with Microsoft Word and Excel. You will be required to practice discretion at all times, and to use professionalism when dealing with any customer (internal or external). Provide the highest level of customer service to all walk-in /phone customers, and use good telephone etiquette at all times.
