Wind Power in Europe and West Michigan

MAREC is a self-sustaining distributive energy center that features a 30 Kw Unisolar thin film photovoltaic solar roof array, a 30Kw Capstone micro turbine and a Skystream 3.7 wind turbine. The Center is a leader and resource in advancing energy related education and the development of effective public policy that will lead to greater use and application of renewable energy technology.

A question and answer period will follow the presentation. Information about MCC’s Wind Power Program, under the direction of MCC instructor Jeff Stipes, will be available. A reception of ethnic foods will be provided from 6:30 – 7:00 p.m. and following the presentation.
