Travelogue Honduras! Set for Oct. 16 on Campus
An MCC instructor and two students will share their firsthand experiences in Central America last summer during “Travelogue Honduras!” on Tuesday, Oct. 16, from 7-8 p.m. in the Blue and Gold Room. Ethnic treats will be available at 6:45 p.m. The presentation is free and open to the public.
“This summer I traveled to the beautiful mountains of Honduras to work with the economic development organization Union Microfinanza,” explains MCC Instructor Christopher VanOoosterhout “Union Microfinanza is dedicated to dealing with the complex and far-reaching challenge of extreme poverty in La Unión, Honduras with innovation and research.”
VanOosterhout and two MCC students, Rachel Boyd and Jourdan Boychuk , traveled to remote Honduran villages getting to know the people and their needs, dreams and desires.
