Coach - Bill Bowen

Coach Bowen is entering his fourth season as the bowling coach at Muskegon Community College. Bill is a graduate of Oakridge High School (87), The Florida State University (1992), and Western Michigan University (2005). 

Coach Bowen was the first head coach for the bowling program at Fruitport High School when they adopted bowling as a sport under the M.H.S.A.A. From 2003 to 2010, Fruitport has had several accomplishments including:  2 conference titles, back-to-back GMAA team championships, 1 regional champion, 13 state qualifiers, and an individual state champion. In each of his 7 years as head coach, Coach Bowen has qualified a team or an individual(s) for the M.H.S.A.A. State Bowling Tournament.
 
In just three seasons, the MCC Jayhawk teams have several accomplishments:

·         4 team tournament championships
·         Named 3 bowlers to the NJCAA All-American Team
·         Crowned a National Champion in Men’s Singles
·         Set school records – Men’s Baker Game Perfect Score

Coach Bowen currently teaches at Fruitport High School. He is supported by his wife, Christine and his 2 sons, Alex and Brady.
