Stevenson Center for Higher Education
Muskegon Community College partners with Ferris State Univeristy, Grand Valley State Univerisity, and Western Michigan University, in Muskegon to offer unique programs allowing occupational students to transfer to a high quality baccalaureate program.
Students interested in attending these universities at Muskegon Community College should contact the individual college's office in Room 1106 in the Stevenson Center. Transfer programs may also be available. Contact an MCC counselor for details, or check for Transfer Guides online.
The facility which houses these university offices is named in honor of former MCC President Dr. James L. Stevenson, who guided the College from 1987-96 and was a catalyst for establishing the Center. The 93,500 square foot building, constructed contiguous to the main academic facility on campus, contains 40 classrooms/conference rooms including a computer classroom and laboratory, a large conference room, a large lecture hall, and a science room.

The Muskegon Leadership Degree
This four year degree program is designed for students who are interested in the leadership pathways of business, nonprofit, human services, and pre law.
Muskegon Community College and Grand Valley State University have collaborated to provide a degree completion program at one convenient location. Both institutions offer courses at the Stevenson Center for Higher Education on the campus of Muskegon Community College.

New – Criminal Justice
Complete the Criminal Justice baccalaureate degree program in Muskegon and be prepared for a professional career in the Criminal Justice system in Michigan and throughout the country. This Generalist option prepares you to seek federal, state and/or local criminal justice agency employment or admission to law school or graduate school. Ferris has partnered with MCC for many years and have seamless articulation into several programs. Students are able to enroll for up to three years of classes at MCC before transferring to one of the many Ferris sites, including Grand Rapids or Big Rapids, with some programs/courses offered fully online. As a cooperative partnership between MCC and Western Michigan University, WMU offers several transfer program options, including:
Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in University Studies The University Studies degree provides the flexibility and control needed to complete a bachelor's degree on a student’s terms. This degree program integrates prior coursework done through other majors into a generalized degree. The University Studies program offers the opportunity to complete your bachelor's degree from WMU in a manageable and straightforward fashion without the constraints of a specialized curriculum. This degree program can be completed entirely online, as well as face-to-face when courses are available.
MCC Transfer Students Offered One WMU-Muskegon Class at MCC Tuition Rates WMU-Muskegon, in partnership with Muskegon Community College (MCC), is proud to offer the WMU-Muskegon Advantage tuition program. The WMU-Muskegon Advantage offers each MCC transfer student one WMU-Muskegon course at MCC tuition rates. The WMU-Muskegon Advantage is available for one face-to-face or hybrid course offered at WMU-Muskegon.
