Additional Ways to Support Muskegon Community College

Create a Personal Legacy

A planned gift to MCC will benefit future generations for years to come. For many of us, making a substantial charitable gift during our lifetime is simply not feasible. Yet, most folks care very much about the future of our community and the family and friends who reside here. That future unquestionably depends on a strong and vibrant community college to sustain and grow the higher education levels necessary for individuals and communities to prosper in West Michigan.

Muskegon Community College offers options for friends and supporters of the College to leave a legacy without risking personal security. For persons interested in financially contributing to the higher education of future generations, there are some surprisingly easy and uncomplicated “tools” available.
  • Talk with Your Life Insurance Provider - Perhaps the simplest way to leave a legacy of learning is to ask your life insurance provider to list Muskegon Community College as a “secondary beneficiary” on your policy for a specified amount that you determine.
  • Remember MCC in Your Estate Planning - Allocating a portion of your estate to the College in your last will and testament will help meet higher education needs in our community. Suggested gifts include support in the following areas: College endowment fund, scholarship needs, specific academic programs, and facility improvements.
  • Create Your Own Scholarship Fund - Creating and naming a fund within the Foundation for Muskegon Community College provides a means of honoring a family member or other loved one, while also benefiting the College.
