What: Alumni Volleyball Match for anyone that played for the Jayhawk Volleyball team in the past.
When: Wednesday August 7
Time: Match begins at 6:00 pm. Players should be there by 5:00 pm.
Format: If there are enough Alumni to form two teams then they will play a match against each other. After that is over we will then have a match featuring the 2013 Jayhawk Team vs the most recent Alumni.
Why: This is going to be used as a scholarship fund raiser in order to provide more financial assistance to the student athletes playing on the volleyball team.
How are you raising Funds: Admission will be by donation. Any amount given is appreciated. We will also have jerseys and warm-ups for sale from previous years. Everything is by donation so what ever you want to give towards an item is acceptable.
If you want to play: Be sure to let me know if you would like to play. We would love to see many players and coaches from previous teams come to this event. This is a great way for all of the Jayhawk players past and present to get to know each other.
After the match we will have a snack and dessert table for everyone in attendance.

Muskegon Community College is proud to announce the High School Seniors All-Star Volleyball Match will take place at Muskegon Community College on Tuesday, June 11 in the Bartels Rodes Gymnasium.
This event has long been a tradition of inviting the top area seniors to come together and showcase their talent before heading off to college. This year’s group of invited seniors includes 11 players that were voted to All-State teams in 2012. This group also has at least 16 players that will continue their volleyball careers playing at various colleges in the fall of 2012, including four that have signed at various DI Universities.
The All Star Match festivities will begin with a practice session at 3:30 p.m., which will be conducted by the M.C.C. coaching staff. Teams will then be selected by our panel of high school coaches that will take part in coaching the match. Each player will receive an All Star game t-shirt to commemorate the match. Players and staff will also be treated to a meal between the practice and match time.
The All-Star Game will begin at 6:00 p.m. with each player wearing their high school game jersey in order for fans to better recognize where each player is from. The game is also televised on local cable and includes the announcing crew from the Jayhawks home matches. This will be a fun night for everyone as the players get to play together one last time and the fans get to see some very high level volleyball.
