Information Literacy
Information Literacy involves:
- Recognizing the need for information.
- Locating the information.
- Evaluating the information.
- Using the information effectively.
- Understanding the economic, legal, and social issues surrounding the use of information and its access. Using information ethically and legally.
A sixth step may be added:
6. Reassessing the original information need; possibly restructuring the question and going back to step 1.
