Graphic Design

Nancy Slater - Graphic Design Faculty

Graphic Design is a creative discipline focusing on giving clients’ ideas a visual and/or verbal voice and meaning. It is also a business endeavor where ideas are communicated with various combinations of type, images, colors, lines, shapes and compositions.

Graphic Design is an inherent part of our contemporary pop culture. We don’t have to visit a museum or art gallery to appreciate it. We see graphic design in posters, packaging, brochures, and business cards. Graphic Design is on web sites, billboards, park benches, in the air, underground and most places in between. Graphic Design can serve business and industry, society and social causes, educational institutions and charitable organizations. It can also be used to communicate critical information and editorial content to the public.
