Placement Guidelines

If the student has had French or German courses in high school, this is a general guide for placement into Muskegon Community College’s French or German Language Courses.

Please note that every high school is different and the level of instruction varies greatly. To better evaluate a student’s ability, several documents are available on MCC’s Foreign Language website including a description of the course contents. A student may also speak to the instructor to determine at which level to begin.
