The MCC Physical Plant provides support services for the MCC main campus and remote locations. With a budget approaching $5 million and 37 full-time and part-time employees, Plant Operations is one of the larger departments on campus.

The Physical Plant staff includes 22 custodial maintenance personnel, four full-time and four part-time security officers, three office administration staff, three supervisors, and the department director. Plant staff maintain over 700,000 square feet of floor space, 14 acres of lawn and plantings, 16 acres of parking and roadways, and over 80 acres of wooded lands, athletic fields, and a nine-hole golf course.

The Plant Office directs all custodial, skilled maintenance, engineering, grounds and ball field maintenance, and safety-security operations. Other functions include: insurance and risk management, energy conservation, fuel and electricity purchasing, mail and receiving operations, small construction projects, engineering, and construction management functions.
