The 26-4 MCC men’s basketball team won the 2019-20 NJCAA Great Lakes Western Region, MCCAA state and Western Conference titles. They were seeded #3 in the NJCAA Div. II National Championships which were canceled because of COVID-19.

The 19th ranked MCC women’s basketball team lost 71-58 to Mid Michigan College in the NJCAA  Great Lakes Western Region Championship game on March 7 at Grand Rapids CC. The Jayhawks, who captured the MCCAA Western Division title this year, end their season with a 25-5 record.

Jayhawk Bryan Jones earned All-American honors at 141 pounds with his eighth place finish at the 2019-20 NJCAA Wrestling National Championships on March 6-7 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. MCC finished 34th in the team standings.

The MCC women finished sixth in the nation at the 2019-20 Championships in Cheektowaga, MY on March 6-7.  At the MCCAA/NJCAA Region XII Championships in Lansing in February, Meagan Batka won the individual title and was third in all-events. Also earning All-MCCAA/Region XII honors was Zoe Cerchiori with fourth in all-events.
