More About Me

  • Coaching Experience:

    Coached for 11 years at the high school level, most notably being 7 years at Muskegon Orchard View. Also coached at Williamston, Muskegon Reeths-Puffer and Muskegon Catholic Central along the way.

  • Coaching at MCC:

    This will be my second stint as the head wrestling coach at Muskegon Community College. Previously, I coached for 5 years, from 2009-2014. The first two years as an assistant coach and the latter three as the head coach. As a head coach the Jayhawks finished in the Top 20 once and the top 10 twice in the nation. We also had a 6th place finish at the National Duals in 2014. In those three years ,I also coached 28 national qualifiers and 6 All-Americans.

More Information:
  • I wrested at MCC from 1991-1993 for Coach Ron Gaffner. I was the Most Improved Wrestler in 1993 and an Academic All-American as well as being a student-athlete of the year nominee.
  • I wrestled for Coach Jim Mooney at Williamston High School were I was a 3x state qualifier and finished 3rd in the State my senior year.
  • In my spare time I love to ride ATVs on Michigan trails and at Silver Lake Sand Dunes as well as boating in the Summer with my family
  • I own a School Fundraising Business called School Spirit Vending
  • Before starting my business, I spent 12 years as a teacher and principal at Three Oaks Public School Academy and Muskegon Heights Public Schools.
  • I have also been an adjunct instructor in the HPER department here at MCC on and off since 2010
