- Played two years of Basketball at Kalamazoo Valley as a walk-on. My playing ended in post season my second year when my collar bone was broke during a game.
- In high school I was a multi-sport athlete and received 10 varsity letters.
- My twin sister played basketball at Lake Michigan College, so we played against each other
- I am active in Place-Based and Project-Based learning through the science programs I teach at Fruitport Middle School.
- Being an educator in the area is giving me the opportunity to be able to connect again with either former students or kids I have coached through the years that are now apart of the Women’s Basketball program at MCC.
- I grew up on a farm in Southwest Michigan, showed horses in the Berrien County Youth Fair and also danced (ballet, Jazz and Acrobats) for 14 years, from ages 6-18.
- FAMILY: Husband Warren Kent III, 30 years in education at the high school level and coaches baseball. He has been a basketball official for 30 years as well. Children, Kelsea 10 years old and TJ 8 years old
