The Muskegon Community College Baseball team split their double header with Kellogg Community College, losing game one 15-2 before rebounding in game two for a 6-4 victory.
In the opener Cal Kryska (Grandville HS) had 2 of only 6 hits for the Jayhawks.
In the nightcap MCC scored every inning after the first for the win. Nathan Doolittle (Forest Hills Central HS) picked up the complete game win on the mound. Nico Verdugo (Sparta HS), Mitch Gumbko (Forest Hills Northern HS) and Tyler Harp (Grand Haven HS) were each 2-3 for the game. Luke Lacross (Traverse City West HS) added a solo home run.
The Jayhawks are now 11-7 in conference play and 21-16-1 overall. They make the trip to Battle Creek to complete the weekend series with KCC on Saturday, 4/24. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
