On the men’s side, it was a good day for PRs. Adam Wolffis (Montague) finished strong with a 30:24. He was followed by freshman, Kaden Hainer (Montague), with a PR of 31:02. Denver Borst (Lakeshore) secured a 31:55, within seconds from his PR. Freshman, Jordan Seeley (Fruitport), came in with a huge PR of 32:27. Rounding it out for the Jayhawks were Zack Pray (Fruitport – 34:01), who dropped his time from last weekend, and Jerry Mejia (West Ottawa – 34:05) who made his season debut.
Macy Whipple (Oakridge) lead the way for the women’s team with a 21:45 followed by Raegen Lockhart (Reeths-Puffer – 22:00). They placed 12th and 13th, respectively, on this hilly course. This puts them both in the top 10 for our region.
The teams return to action on October 1st when they race at Grand Woods Park in the Lansing Community College invitational.
