The Jayhawk Track & Field Teams traveled to Aquinas College to compete on Friday, 2/3.
Kyler Dean (Vicksburg) continued to excel, placing 2nd overall in the mile with a time of 4:19.55c. That time is a national qualifying time and also a reset of his own school record. The 4×400 turned in a first place performance, Isaac Easter (West Ottawa) won the long jump (6.74m) and Gavin Anderson (Oakridge) took 2nd in the Pole vault (4.07m). Zac Pray (Fruitport) finished 4th in the 400m with a 50.25c.
Faith Clark (Fruitport) finished 4th in the 800m (2:28.1c) and Neva Hundt (Whitehall) finishing 9th overall in the 600m (1:53.8c). Rounding out the top 10 performances for the women’s team were Rae’shaunna Chapman (Orchard View) in 8th in the 200m and Lainey Canan (Zeeland East) in 10th in the 400m.
MCC will compete in the NJCAA Region XII meet in Defiance Ohio on 2/9-10th.
