A few members of the MCC Track & Field teams competed at GVSU as a tune-up for the NJCAA National Championship in Topeka, KS.
Isaac Easter (West Ottawa) broke his own long jump record with a jump of 6.75m and finished 2nd overall. Zach Pray (Fruitport) broke his own indoor 400m record with a time of 49.40 finishing 2nd overall. Kyler Dean (Vicksburg) finished 9th breaking his 3k school record with a time of 8:51.22.
Next up is the National Championships where Faith Clark (Fruitport) will compete in the 1000m, Dean in the 1000m, 800m and the mile, Easter in the long jump and Gavin Anderson (Oakridge) in the pole vault. Nationals will be held at Washburn University 3/3-3/4.
