The Muskegon Community College Jayhawks won a tough road game at Alpena Community College by a score of 81-72.
The back and forth battle saw a handful of lead changes in the second half before the Jayhawks were able to pull away. MCC was able to take advantage of some key 3 pointers on offense and lock down defense to preserve the victory.
Top scorers for the Jayhawks tonight were Ty Oldham (T.C. Howe) with 24 points, Damion Cochran (Ottawa Hills HS) with 20 points and Jeff Sultzer (Herron HS) with 18 points. Jackob Martinson (Big Rapids HS) was also in double digits with 11.
MCC is now 3-8 overall and 2-5 in conference play. They wrap up the regular season with a pair of home games. Tuesday 3/30 they will take on Delta College and Thursday 4/1 will be Sophomore night vs. Grand Rapids Community College. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 for each game.
