The Jayhawk Men’s Basketball team bounced back for a 75-45 victory at Kirtland Community College.
MCC continued to struggle to score points early in the game, but their defense helped them to a 25-22 lead at the half. After some adjustments the Jayhawks came out and used their press to take a commanding lead. They outscored the Firebirds 49-23 in the 2nd half and cruised to the win. Jadakiss Lewis (Kalamazoo Central) had a double double with 24 points and 10 rebounds and Jacob Mueller (Charlevoix) finished with 11 points and 6 rebounds.
MCC is 4-3 in conference play and 8-12 overall. They stay on the road with a trip to Delta College on Wednesday, 2/7. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
