The Muskegon Community College Men’s Basketball team lost a road game to North Central Michigan College, 76-57.
The bad news continued for the Jayhawks this week when they got word that one of their injured starters will be lost for the season with a knee injury and a key player from the bench is also out for the season with a broken shoulder. Despite the bad news, MCC came out ready to play as they battled NCMC to a 38-38 tie at the half. Unfortunately, North Central was able to put together a run in the second half and MCC couldn’t match it, dropping MCC to 1-4 in conference play. The Jayhawks were paced by Vern Nash III (Muskegon) who finished with 27 points and 8 rebounds. Jarvin Graham (Perspectives Joslin Campus) added 13 points and 7 rebounds and 4 steals and Jadakiss Lewis (Kalamazoo) finished with 9 points.
MCC’s overall record is 7-12. They travel to face Mid Michigan College on Wednesday, 2/1 at 7:30 pm.
