Muskegon Community College dropped a game on the road to Southwestern Michigan College, 63-49.
The Jayhawks struggled to shoot the ball all game with 22% field percentage and 18% from the 3 point line. The MCC defense stepped up and kept them in the game in the first half as they trailed 23-22 going into half time. In the second half the game was close until the 10 minute mark when the Roadrunners outscored MCC 25-9. Jarvin Graham (Perspectives, Joslin Campus) led MCC with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Jadakiss Lewis (Kalamazoo) and Jacob Mueller (Charlevoix) scored 12 points and 10 points respectively and Mueller grabbed 13 rebounds.
MCC’s record is now 4-3. They will host Calvin College JV on Tuesday, 12/6 with tip off scheduled for 7:00 pm.
