The Jayhawk Men’s Basketball team bounced back with a victory over the JV team from Grace Christian University by a final score of 80-62.
MCC continues to battle the injury bug as they are currently playing short 3 starters, but the remaining Jayhawks stepped up to carry the load tonight with 5 players finishing in double digit scoring. MCC was in control for most of the game, outscoring the visitors 36-27 in the first half then adding 44 points while holding Grace to 35 for the final score. Freshman Joe Russau (Wyoming Lee) lead all scroers with 26 points; he just missed a double double with 9 rebounds. Kaden George (Spring Lake) finished with 15 points, Benjamin Clark (Potter’s House) added 14 points. MCC also got help from Tate Stine (Montague) with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Will Chye (Mason County Central) added 10 points, a team high 9 rebounds and 3 assists.
MCC is 2-1 on the season. They will host St. Clair County Community College on Tuesday, 11/21. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
