Muskegon Community College dropped a 80-69 decision to Kalamazoo Valley Community College at home.
Both teams came into the contest at 4-1, but the Jayhawks found themselves in a struggle to score in the first half with low shooting percentage across the board. KVCC took a 46-28 lead into the half time locker room. MCC would go on to outscore the Cougars 41-34 in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the first half deficit. Jarvin Graham (Perspectives Joslin Campus) led the Jayhawks with 19 points, 5 rebounds and a steal. Jadakiss Lewis (Kalamazoo) finished with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals and 4 assists and Jacob May (Ravenna) had 10 points and 8 boards.
MCC sits at 4-2 in the Northern Conference. They return to the court on Saturday, 12/3 when they travel to Southwestern Michigan College for a 3:00 pm contest.
