The Jayhawk Men’s Soccer team opened the 2023-2024 season on the road at Schoolcraft College where they lost a close game, 2-1.

Schoolcraft opened the scoring early with a goal in the first minute of play. They added to their lead by converting a penalty kick before MCC got on the board with a great combination play from the striker and midfield. Gavin Riksen (Western Michigan Christian) converted an assist from Jake Wright (Garforth Academy, UK). MCC dominated the time of possession in the 2nd half and created a number of scoring opportunities but couldn’t get the equalizer.

MCC returns to action on Saturday, 8/26 with a trip to Bryant & Stratton College in Cleveland, OH. Game time is 4:00 pm.
