The Indoor Track teams travelled south to Tiffin University in Ohio for the Reggie Thomas Collegiate Classic.
The Men’s team had a great showing with Ben Wyatt (Reeths-Puffer) finishing 6th in the high jump, clearing 1.91 meters (6 foot 3.25 inches). Adam Wolffis (Whitehall) ran 5:14 in the mile and Kaden Hainer (Montague) ran a 5:19 mile, both personal bests. Zach Pray (Fruitport) won his 400 meter heat in 52.16 and Jerry Mejia (West Ottawa) ran his 400 meter in 54:49. Tremain Willis (Reeths-Puffer) clocked a 25.40 in the 200 meter and 7.79 in the 60 meter and Tyler Walker (Reeths-Puffer also running 25.40 in the 200 meter and 7.84 in the 70 meter.
The Women’s team got competitive performances from Faith Clark (Fruitport), who returned from an injury to finish 14th in the 400 meters at 1:06. Katie Ferris (Whitehall) high jumped 1.47 meters and Naveah Watson (Whitehall) ran a season best in the 400 with a time of 1:09.
