The Jayhawk Women’s Basketball team defeated the visitors from Kellogg Community College, 64-31.
MCC got off to a slow start in the first quarter, but strong team defense in the second quarter held the Bruins off the scoreboard. The Jayhawks had a 34-10 point lead at half time that would grow to 56-22 after three quarters. “It was a good win, thanks to our defense, as we struggled with our shooting,” said Coach Cooper after the game.

Ally Sieber (Reeths-Puffer) added 14 points and Mariah Pringle (Brethren) scored 13 points, grabbed 8 boards and had 3 blocks. Kennah VerMerris (Fruitport) was the leading rebounder with 10.
