The 12th ranked Muskegon Community College Women’s Soccer team earned a solid 4-0 victory over Marian University at Ancilla College in Donaldson, IN.

Emma Dyer (Montague) broke open the scoreless game with her first goal as a Jayhawk after making a run to the perfect spot on the back post. Iris Herald (Reeths-Puffer) had an impressive drive to beat a couple of defenders before finding Dyer in front of the goal. Early in the second half a PK was awarded to the Jayhawks and Alexa Musk (Mona Shores) found the back of the net to put the Jayhawks up 2 – 0. At the 75 minute mark, Herald put the Jayhawks up 3 – 0 after getting the pass from Emma Martin (Reeths- Puffer). Hannah Osterholm (New Haven) finished the scoring for the Jayhawks after winning a ball on a corner kick served by Jaqi Bocanegra (Zeeland East). Grace Caywood (Zeeland West) earned her 9th shutout of the season in goal.

The team completes their regular season on Sunday, 10/23 when they play a rescheduled game with Lake Michigan College. Game time is 3:00 pm at Orchard View High School.
