The 13th ranked Muskegon Community College Jayhawks dropped a road game to the #2 Pioneers of Delta College (Division III) by a final score of 5-0.

The first half of the game was an intense back and forth battle between the teams with Delta getting on the board with 30 seconds to play in the half. In the second half the Jayhawks battled the heat and a short bench due to injuries and Delta pulled away with 4 additional goals. Grace Caywood (Zeeland West) had a good game with 20 saves, and Tia Martinez (Zeeland West) also had a standout showing on defense, causing many disruptions in the Delta offense throughout the match. 

MCC is 0-2 early in the season. They return to action with a rematch vs. Delta at home (Orchard View High School) on Saturday, 8/26 at 1:00 pm.
