The Muskegon Community College women’s soccer team traveled to Livonia for a road game at Schoolcraft College and came home with a 1-0 victory.
The Jayhawks held possession for the majority of the game and got on the scoreboard 25 minutes into the second half on a goal by Josie Bos (Zeeland West HS). Josie’s second goal of the season was assisted by Isabel Olsen (Reeths-Puffer HS) who picked up her fifth assist. Ellie Adams (Thornapple Kellog HS), Nora Brown (Mona Shores HS), Lexi Bolles (Reeths-Puffer HS) and Bos all had strong performances in the central midfield positions throughout the game. Savana Driesenga (Zeeland East HS) and Rachel Wienclaw (Mesick HS) earned the shutout, each playing a half.
MCC is now 3-1 in conference play and 3-1 overall. They return to action with a home game vs. Lake Michigan College on Saturday, 9/7 at 3:00 pm.
