The Women’s Soccer Team held on for a 3-2 victory over Marian University’s Ancilla College Chargers.

Saidee Raap (Oakridge) opened up the scoring 8 minutes into the game after receiving a pass from outside mid Lainey Canan (Zeeland East). Tori Van Tamelen (Hamilton) found the back of the net after gathering the ball from Sarah Zielinski’s (Fruitport) header on a Jayhawk corner kick. Raap finished off the scoring for Muskegon just 2 minutes into the second half. Zielinski and Lainey Canan (Zeeland East) had an impressive combination out wide to create the scoring chance. McKenzie Swarts (Oakridge) earned the Giraffe of the Game for her performance in Midfield.

MCC is now 7-1-3 on the season. They host league leader and #2 ranked Delta College on Saturday, 10/8 at Orchard View High School. Kick off is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
