Cross Country at Northwood Invitational

The Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams opened their season at Northwood University. For the men, freshman Kyler Dean (Vicksburg) finished 18th overall and broke the men’s 6k school record with a time of 19:33. Complete men’s results are HERE. The women’s team finished 4th, led by sophomore Faith Clark (Fruitport). Complete women’s results are HERE. The Jayhawks are back in action on Saturday, 9/17 at The GRCC Raider invite at Gainey Athletic Facility.

Cross Country at GRCC XC Invite

The MCC Men’s team finished 16th overall and got an outstanding performance from Freshman Kyler Dean (Vicksburg) in his first college race. Dean finished the race in 12th place overall, and he was the first community college runner across the finish line with a time of 26:04. Complete results here. Cross Country at Firebird Invitational hosted by Kirtland CC

The Men’s Cross Country Team finished 7th of 14 teams and the Women’s Team was 8th of 13 team. Kyler Dean (Vicksburg) finished in first place with a time of 26.29, a full 30 seconds in front of the next finisher. The Jayhawk Men’s Cross Country Team finished in 7th place at the Raider Invitational, hosted by Oakland Community College and the Women’s Team finished in 6th place. The Muskegon Community College Cross Country teams welcomed Muskegon area high schools Saturday morning for the GMA Cross Country event, before hosting 14 men’s teams and 9 women’s teams, along with many unattached runners, for the Jayhawk Invitational at University Park Golf Course. Cross Country-MCCAA Championship & NJCAA Region XII Championship

The Cross Country teams competed at Gainey Complex in Grand Rapids in the MCCAA and Region XII Championships on Saturday, 10/29. The course was wet and muddy, but Kyler Dean (Vicksburg) continued to dominate the competition as he ran away from the second place finisher to claim MCC’s first ever Individual champion. Cross Country NJCAA Nationals

The Muskegon Community College Cross Country teams were represented by three runners at the NJCAA National Championships in Tallahassee, FL; Neva Hundt (Whitehall) and Grace Lockhart (Reeths-Puffer) from the women’s team and Kyler Dean (Vicksburg) from the men’s team.
