Softball at Space Coast Spring Games
The Jayhawk Softball Team opened their 2023-2024 season with a split on opening day of their spring training trip in Melbourne, Fl. Game 1 was a 6-5 loss to Macomb Community College and in game 2 they picked up a 4-1 victory over John Melvin University. On their second day of competition at the Space Coast Games in Melbourne, FL the Jayhawk Softball Team won 1 game in extra innings and lost twice. MCC defeated Rochester Community and Technical College in 8 innings by a final of 7-6. The Jayhawk Softball Team split on Thursday, 3/7; They lost the opener to Bryant and Stratton College 10-3 but bounced back for a 10-9 victory (8 innings) over John Melvin. The Jayhawk Softball team wrapped up their spring trip with 3 losses; 6-3 to Sienna Heights JV, 10-2 to St. Louis Community College and 12-1 to Dakota Wesleyan JV. They finished their spring trip with a 3-7 record. They will get back to action on Saturday, 3/16 when they travel to face Grace Christian University JV in a doubleheader starting at 1:00 pm.
