Women’s Soccer Home vs. Kellogg Community College
The Women’s Soccer team struggled to score as they lost another tough contest to the Bruins from Kellogg Community College by a score of 2-0. MCC dominated control and possession with Tia Martinez (Zeeland West) and Lydia Sowles (Mona Shores) creating opportunities that were not converted. The Jayhawk Women’s soccer team claimed a very deserved and important 2-1 win over the Jackson College Jets on the road. Lydia Sowles (Mona Shores) scored the first goal of the game from a slotted ground cross from Lainey Canan (Zeeland East). Canan connected on the winning goal with 13 minutes left in the match. The Women’s Soccer team continued their road trip with a 4-0 victory at Lakeland Community College on Sunday, 10/1. MCC wasted no time getting on the score board. The Jayhawk Women’s Soccer team continued their improved play with a 3-0 victory over Marion University’s Ancilla College Chargers. The Jayhawk Women’s Soccer team battled to keep their win streak alive but fell just short as they dropped a 2-1 contest at Lake Michigan College.
