MCC picked up their first road win of the season with a 6-1 win over host St. Clair County Community College. Alexa Musk (Mona Shores) opened the scoring with a penalty kick. The Jayhawks also got goals from Taylor Noble (Boyne City), who scored twice, and Nora Brown (Mona Shores), Payton McKellar (Byron Center) and Audrey Lepper (Wayland Union) with a goal each. Women’s Soccer at St. Clair County Community College

The Jayhawk Women’s Soccer team played to a 0-0 tie with the host team from St. Clair County Community College. MCC is now 2-5-1 in conference play and 3-5-1 overall. They have an opportunity to get into the win column on Saturday, 9/23 when St. Clair makes the return trip to Muskegon. Game time is 1:00 pm at Orchard View High School.

Cross Country at SC4 Invitational

The Jayhawk Cross Country Team traveled to Port Huron to compete in the St. Clair County Community College Invitational. On a wet and muddy course the Jayhawks competed against a crowded field of 18 teams. Average times were about 45 seconds to 1 minute slower than usual. Volleyball at NJCAA Region XII Tournament-St. Clair County Community College

The Jayhawk Volleyball team won their opening match at the NJCAA Region XII Tournament by a 3-2 score over Southwestern Michigan College before dropping game 2 to Edison State Community College, 3-2. Play continues on Friday, 11/3 at 1:00 vs. North Central Michigan College.

The Jayhawk Volleyball team wrapped up the 2023-2024 season with a 2-2 record in the NJCAA D2 Region XII Tournament. On day one MCC went 1-1 with a 3-2 victory over Southwestern Community College (24-26, 13-25, 25-20, 25-19, 15-7)  and then a 2-3 loss to Edison Community College (22-25, 25-16, 20-25, 25-16, 12-15). The Jayhawk Women’s Basketball team dropped a close game to Macomb Community College 64-60 in the opening round of the Skippers New Years Classic at St. Clair County Community College. Both teams started slow with the 1st quarter ending at 11-7 in favor of Macomb CC. The Jayhawk Men’s Basketball Team lost to #6 ranked Macomb Community College 107-47 on the opening night of the Skippers New Years Classic. The Jayhawk Women’s Baskeball team lost 61-43 to host St. Clair County Community College. MCC trailed 14-12 after the 1st quarter but early foul trouble and poor shooting in the 2nd quarter saw the Jayhawks trailing by 16 at the half, 33-17.
