About

Tina Dee, Director of Strategic Initiatives at Muskegon Community College, has 25 years of experience in marketing and communications.  Prior to coming to MCC in 2009, she directed brand management, marketing, and fund development strategies for nonprofits headquartered in the Grand Rapids area.  From 1986 through 2001, Tina worked for various media outlets as a radio personality, television production assistant, and as a marketing coordinator for a commercial printer and publisher.

She holds a Master of Science Degree in Communications from Grand Valley State University and a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from Indiana University.  In 1994, Tina was recruited by the School of Communications at Grand Valley State University.  She was an adjunct instructor there for 15 years while cultivating her marketing career by day.  Her involvement at GVSU also included her role in the Alumni Association, where she served as a Vice President for the Board of Directors.

Tina serves on the Marketing Committee for Grand Haven Main Street Downtown Development Authority and on the Leadership Committee for Extended Grace, a secular nonprofit grassroots social lab that builds community while solving problems.  She resides in Grand Haven, Michigan, with her husband Scott Lampe, an award-winning packaging designer.
