Include these Elements in Your Outline/Storyboard

Information Literacy Module VI: Preparing to Use Information Effectively

Main Idea: Whether you’re planning a paper, a presentation, or something else, your project should have a point. State this main idea in one sentence (which will be your thesis statement if you’re writing a paper).

Supporting points: Now that you know your main idea, it’s time to prove it. What is the reasoning behind your main idea? State each supporting point in its own sentence. (Each one of these may act as a topic sentence if you’re writing a paper.)
