MCC Lecture Series: “Human Trafficking in West Michigan and What You Can Do to Help”

The Muskegon Community College Lecture Series continues on Thursday, Feb. 3, with “Understanding Human Trafficking in West Michigan and What You Can Do to Help” presented by Sara Johnson, Elizabeth Gillette and Rachael McEnhill.

Johnson is the Executive Director of The Hope Project and Co-Chair of the Lakeshore Human Trafficking Task Force. Gillette is the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Coordinator at Every Woman’s Place in Muskegon. McEnhill is the Forensic Interviewer and Victim Advocate at the Child Abuse Council of Muskegon County.

“The presenters will share their experiences and explore what human trafficking looks like in West Michigan and around the world,” explained MCC Instructor Andy Wible, who coordinate the Lecture Series. “They will conclude with what can be done to prevent it.”
